The Transbucegi mountain road and the cable cars from Busteni and Sinaia facilitate the access on Bucegi plateau and give the opportunity of some amazing views.
The Bucegi Mountains are located south of Transylvania, on the border with the former principality of Wallachia. They display a large, massive plateau at over 2,000 meters altitude, with strange rock formations, guarded by abrupt cliffs and surrounded by Prahovei Valley resorts of Sinaia, Busteni, Azuga, Predeal. The highest peak is Omu, at 2,505 m.
